The AbraKIDabra! Comedy Magic Show is an audience-tested complete performance written to engage, enthuse, enthrall and most of all, entertain ALL ages from 'school-agers' to 'grand-agers'. Think of it as a kid-focused theatrical performance wrapped up inside a family-friendly festival of funny!
When: 11am-noon on Friday, June 5
Where: West Perth Community Centre - 185 Wellington St.
Registration is required! Please register on Rec Desk starting May 8. Registration closes June 5.

Read to the Animals
All ages, drop-in
Join us as we get up close and personal with the animals of the lions Club Animal Barn. Stories, friends and fun!
When: 11am on the following Saturdays:
- June 6
- July 18
- August 8
Where: Mitchell Lions Park, Animal Barn
All groups must include an adult caregiver.

Library on Location
All ages, drop-in with caregiver
Each Monday in the summer (with the exception of August 3, last day August 17), the library will be at a different location around Mitchell to see cool things, do hands-on activities and hear stories. Adult caregivers must remain on site for all children's activities.
When: 6pm on Mondays
Where: location dependent on who we're visiting that week
July 6 - TLC Alpacas at the Library - 105 St. Andrew St.
- Listen to stories, then meet, feed, and learn about the Alpacas up close
July 13 - Delta Power Equipment - 5458 Line 34, Mitchell
- Listen to stories and then explore the store and the agricultural equipment that is on site
July 20 - West Perth Village with the Alzheimer Society - 4118A Rd 164, Mitchell
- Remember Me is a story about memory loss and an introduction to the concept of dementia. The session also teaches children simple, fun ways to keep their brains healthy through movement, learning and social connection. A fun activity is included at the end.
July 27 - JNB Heavy Haul - 216 Cooper St. Mitchell
- Explore the big rigs after listening to stories
August 10 - Mitchell Vet Services - 243 Ontario Rd., Mitchell
- Listen to stories and explore what happens when pets are taken to the vet for a check-up
August 17- Murphy Bus Lines - 15 Arthur St., Mitchell
- Listen to stories on the bus and then take a ride on the bus

Paws 4 Stories
Ages 6-10
The Paws 4 Stories program is a one-on-one reading program where young readers practice their skills while reading to a Therapy Dog from St. John Ambulance.
This program has a limited space. Registration will be absolutely required. Youth will register for a 15-minute window to meet with the Therapy Dog.
When: The following Thursdays throughout the summer:
- July 9
- July 16
- August 13
- August 20
The following time slots will be available:
- 4:00 - 4:15pm
- 4:15 - 4:30pm
- 4:30 - 4:45pm
Youth can sign up for one of the twelve sessions available.
