
Library on Location
All ages, drop-in with caregiver
Each Monday in the summer (with the exception of August 3, last day August 17), the library will be at a different location around Mitchell to see cool things, do hands-on activities and hear stories. Adult caregivers must remain on site for all children's activities.
When: 6pm on Mondays
Where: location dependent on who we're visiting that week
August 17- Murphy Bus Lines - 15 Arthur St., Mitchell
- Listen to stories on the bus and then take a ride on the bus
August 18 - JNB Heavy Haul - 216 Cooper St., Mitchell - RESCHEDULED and please note this is a Tuesday
- Explore the big rigs after listening to stories

Paws 4 Stories
Ages 6-10
The Paws 4 Stories program is a one-on-one reading program where young readers practice their skills while reading to a Therapy Dog from St. John Ambulance.
This program has a limited space. Registration will be absolutely required. Youth will register for a 15-minute window to meet with the Therapy Dog.
When: The following Thursdays throughout the summer:

Crafty Summer Treats
All ages, drop-in
Make colourful, treat-themed crafts inspired by ice cream, popsicles, watermelon and other summer favourites. Children can enjoy hands-on art activities, use their imagination and take home their sweet creations while celebrating the fun of summer at the library.
When: 10:30am-noon on Wednesday, August 26

Dot Day Crafts
All ages, drop-in
Create crafts inspired by the book The Dot by Peter Reynolds.
When: 10:30-11:30 am on Wednesday, September 5

3 Sisters Harvest Stories with Patsy Day
All ages
Join Oneida Elder Patsy Day for a fun and meaningful time of learning and sharing about the 3 Sisters Story. Families are invited to gather at the Pollinator Garden to enjoy outdoor storytelling, hands-on crafts, and time together learning about this special story and tradition.
When: 11am on Wednesday, September 19
Where: Pollinator Garden beside the tennis courts at the corner of Wellington and Rowland St. (inclement weather location is the library)
Registration is required. Please register on Rec Desk starting on September 1.
